Unfortunately as someone who has lived on the mainland before, I am very familiar with this type of situation...

The only two solutions are to:
1. Use a VPN
2. Switch cell providers

They've been cracking down on VPNs lately though, so it's very hit or miss. Previously I used ExpressVPN but have heard from friends that it's not necessarily effective anymore. Feel free to PM me for deeper solutions though if you're interested, I am a bit of an expert in this area.

Sad to see mainland policies enter into HK...

唔知你有無帶手機返過大陸
我測試過,如果唔返大陸又無經大陸發射站係無事既
但如果咁唔好彩返左大陸又接觸到大陸網絡
到出返香港既時候可能仲係連緊大陸網絡
又或者係香港訊號唔好既地方都會有機會連到大陸網絡
哩個時候最好reset,重新揀過SIM卡網絡連接
或者返大陸之前開定一張可以用香港網絡既大陸SIM卡
